A thrilling production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is being presented at McCarter Theatre Center through December 24.
McCarter Theatre Center has announced the return of the beloved holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Returning to the McCarter stage for the first time since 2019, the spectacular classic production is adapted and directed by Lauren Keating.
For 30 years, McCarter Theatre Center has celebrated the holidays and brought the community together around Charles Dickens' classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This season, McCarter's artistic team has created a unique way to share the joy and themes of this timeless story with an original gift box containing the magic of theatre.
The magic continues! 'A Christmas Carol' at McCarter Theater, is now on stage through December 29th. Adapted by David Thompson and directed by Adam Immerwahr, the production has marvelous acting, elaborate staging, and exciting new flourishes.

Unveiling Emily Mann's final season as Artistic Director and Resident Playwright, McCarter Theatre Center has announced the full schedule for its upcoming 2019-2020 Theater Series, dubbed "Signature Emily." The highly anticipated series pays homage to Mann's trailblazing career, embodying the powerful themes that have cemented her personal legacy and influenced the American theater at large: giving a voice to women and people of color, embracing risk in pursuit of art that inspires social dialogue, discovering and mentoring emerging talent, and championing inventive cross-company collaborations.
