Bergen Performing Arts Center located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood New Jersey is proud to present Leeann Womack Thursday, November 13th at 8PM and Dave Davies of the Kinks on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 8PM. About Leeann Womack

Lee Ann Womack's eponymous album was released in May of 1997, and shortly after its release, it reached the Top Ten on the country chart. I Hope You Dance followed in mid-2000. Something Worth Leaving Behind appeared in mid-2002, and it was a sure fit for Womack to move into the country mainstream for good. A Season for Romance was released before the year's end, but Womack was itching for the stage. In early 2003, Womack earned a small part on the CBS drama The District. She also earned two Grammy nods: one for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for Something Worth Leaving Behind and Best Vocal Collaboration (Country) for her duet with Willie Nelson on "Mendocino County Line." Call Me Crazy was released in 2008.

About Dave Davies of The Kinks

Legendary guitarist Dave Davies played in The Kinks with brother Ray Davies, penned hits like "Death of a Clown," and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Dave was the lead guitarist and backup singer for the Kinks. He created the distorted riff for "You Really Got Me" by taking a sharp object (either a razor or a knitting needle) and slashing the speaker cone of his Elpico amp, and driving it into a VOX AC30. He continued to use this sound for much of their early material (notably on "All Day and All of the Night" and "Till the End of the Day").
