In this smart, cleverly written musical comedy, it is Christmas Eve, and Cleetus (Seth Thomas) and his beloved wife, Mama, (Kristin Rosario) are preparing for Christmas. With a family of eight adorable, albeit rambunctious children, grandparents on the way, an ex-con for a cousin (Cameron Gilliam) and his gold-digging girlfriend (Hillary Mead) who is set on nothing less than a diamond ring for Christmas … what could possibly go wrong?
When the gifts go missing, Mama finds herself at her wit’s end. Cleetus finds himself wondering if his sizable mistake might cost him more than the missing presents. And the kids learn a valuable lesson about the true meaning of Christmas.
The show is chock full of familiar holiday songs to bring audiences further into the holiday spirit including “Santa Baby,” “Hard Candy Christmas,” “I’m Getting’ Nuttin’ for Christmas,” and “Blue Christmas”. This heartwarming script delivers lots of laughs along with a season-appropriate message.
Directed by Karen Himelrick, this is a show appropriate and sure to please audiences of all ages.
