Tickets for Waterworks production of Gidion's Knot are on sale now to the general public. Gidion's Knot runs from November 28 - December 8, 2013 at Centre Culturel Georges-Vanier, 2450 Workman, 2nd Floor, Little Burgundy.

The Waterworks Company is proud to present Gidion's Knot, an award winning new play from up and coming American playwright, Johnna Adams. Directed by Rob Langford, the cast includes Tara Bissett (Into the Woods, Sins of the Mother) and Sherry Chen (Standing on Ceremony)

Alternately sad, tense, terrifying and hilarious, Gidion's Knot has been described as "80 minutes of the most intense live theater I have ever seen." Richmond, VA Times-Dispatch) and "catharsis, in its truest and rawest form" (DCTheatreScene.com).

11 year old Gidion took his own life, the day after being suspended from school. Why? His mother Corryn wants answers and she hopes that his teacher, Heather, holds them. In this darkest of parent-teacher conferences, two irreconcilable visions of childhood clash.

The Waterworks Company is a new English-language theatre company based in Montreal's Sud-Ouest borough. The Waterworks Company's goal is to build a neighbourhood theatre company that regularly stages new, electrically entertaining, international drama with "bite". In March 2013, Waterworks staged a highly- acclaimed production of Canadian playwright Judith Thompson's Palace of the End. Throughout 2013 and 2014, Waterworks will continue to highlight the work of fearless women dramatists from an international repertoire.
