Hot on the heels of last November's wonderful Fancy Pants Supper Club inaugural event, Kiss My Cabaret impresario and actor Danette MacKay and Renaissance man Harry Standjofski invite you to dress up, dine and be dazzled once again by the fabulous floor show, then trip the light fantastic to a swinging jazz quartet. Polish your finery; one night only, at the charming La Sala Rossa, tonight. April 18.

MacKay is drawn to the uniqueness of this event: "Montreal was so well known for this type of entertainment for so long; back in the day there were clubs all over town offering dinner and dancing." Standjofski adds: "I was brought up on Ed Sullivan, Red Skelton and the Carol Burnett show... I so miss those fabulous variety programs that had it all, music, laughs, dancing... Fancy Pants Supper Club is a way to bring that style of entertainment back to Montreal."

Drawing on the amazing pool of talented Montreal cabaret artists, this latest floor show of music, burlesque, magic, comedy and circus acts harkens back to days when Montreal was 'Sin City', North America's hottest night spot. MacKay, Montreal's Queen of the Cabaret, curates this edition with Standjofski, her long-time musical and theatrical cohort, together promising another stellar soirée of variety entertainment. While savouring a delicious à-la-carte tapas meal, audiences will laugh, swoon and be dazzled by the entertainment under the warm chandeliers of La Sala Rossa. Cirque du Soleil clown Joe de Paul, who with Mackay kick-started last fall's first Fancy Pants Supper Club, will be flying in from Seattle to add his unique brand of humour to the festivities and, once again, the after-show music for your dancing pleasure will be provided by the inimitable Kim Zombik & her trio. This is a great opportunity for people to don their swankiest duds and come out for another world-class eclectic soirée!

Says MacKay: "The first Fancy Pants Supper Club last November exceeded all our expectations and the audience had such a great time, so we're really excited about putting this one on, and most importantly making Fancy Pants Supper Club a regular Montreal event." Returning artist and last show's co-host Joe de Paul adds: "Our goal is for people to feel that they have been part of an unforgettable night they can't wait to experience again."

Other featured guests include: magician & comic David Acer; the stand-up comedy of Kevin Shustack; burlesque artist Miss Lou Lou, la Duchesse de Rière; David & Benoit Brière, a father and son tap dancing duo; burlesque queen The Lady Josephine (with a special guest) returning with another show-stopping number; and Joe De Paul teaming up with Mr. Pee Pee for madcap clown & juggling. After the show, audiences stay to cut a rug to the swing of Kim Zombik and her jazz trio.
