On Wednesday, July 1, 2015, the sound of Broadway will come to the MCT Center for the Performing Arts as MCT's Next Step Prep presents Eden Espinosa - Live in Concert, a fundraiser for the Next Step Prep scholarship fund.

Eden Espinosa is best known for her portrayal of "Elphaba," the green-hued wicked witch of the hit Broadway show Wicked. In addition to her work with Wicked, Eden originated the role of "Brooklyn" in the Broadway production, Brooklyn the Musical, and was featured as "Maureen" in the closing production of Rent, now available on DVD. Eden has been featured in solo concerts from San Francisco to New York; performed to a sold-out crowd at LA's Ford Amphitheatre, and appeared with symphony orchestras from Charlotte, North Carolina to Shanghai, China.

Eden will be in Missoula as a visiting guest artist for the Missoula Children's Theatre's summer high school musical theatre program - Next Step Prep. Each year, students from around the country come to Missoula for a six-week musical theatre intensive training; during this experience, they have the chance to learn from some of Broadway's biggest talents. Other 2015 guest artists include Suzanne Carey, Andy Taylor, Lynn Helding, Alex Gemignani, Erin Ortman, Charlotte d'Amboise and Terrence Mann.

Eden Espinosa - Live in Concert is Wednesday, July 1st, at the MCT Center for the Performing Arts. The show begins at 7:30 pm and also includes performances by the 2015 class of Next Step Prep. All proceeds for this concert will benefit the Next Step Prep scholarship fund. Tickets are available June 17th online here, by phone (406) 728-7529 or at the MCT Box Office at 200 North Adams Street. Seating is general admission and tickets are $25/person.
