The Orpheum Theatre will host its second annual Break-A-Leg 5K on Sunday, June 28th at 2:00 PM. This year's event will be themed around MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, playing at the Orpheum Theatre July 14 - 19, 2015.

"Last year's inaugural 5K exceeded our expectations," said Orpheum President and CEO Pat Halloran. "The community showed up in great spirits wearing fantastic costumes. We're happy to bring this event back for another great year."

Presented in partnership with Start2Finish Event Management, the 5K course will start and end at the historic Orpheum Theatre where the race will culminate in a post-race party that will have participants dancing in the street. Food and entertainment will be provided by Hard Rock Cafe. Costumes are encouraged.

The entry fee for the Break-A-Leg 5K is $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the race. Participants may register at www.breakaleg5k.racesonline.com or visit www.orpheum-memphis.com for more information. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Orpheum's Education and Community based programming.

The Break-A-Leg 5K is made possible by the following generous sponsors: Scott and Carol Hennessy, Bill and Cheryl Stegbauer, EMHC, and Hard Rock Café. Those interested in sponsoring or donating to the event are encouraged to contact Development Director Michelle Goldkamp at goldkamp@orpheum-memphis.com or 901.529.4280.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL plays at The Orpheum Theatre July 14 - 19. It began as one man's story... became everyone's music... and is now Broadway's musical. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy's journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat. Featuring classic songs such as "My Girl" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," experience the story behind the music in the record-breaking smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL!

Tickets for MOTOWN THE MUSICAL are on sale now and available for purchase online at the official Orpheum Theatre website, www.orpheum-memphis.com, The Orpheum Box Office (901.525.3000), the ticket counter at The Booksellers at Laurelwood, and all Ticketmaster centers (901.743.ARTS).
