The Orpheum Theatre's 2016 Summer Movie Series moves into the Halloran Centre for the first time with a screening of the contemporary classic romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally on Friday, June 24th at 7 PM.

In this 1989 film that examines the relationship between men and women, Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) try to navigate a friendship without sex getting in the way. When Harry Met Sally is rated R for some language and sexual dialogue.

Beginning next week, the historic Orpheum Theatre auditorium will be closed for major painting and cleaning of the gold leaf and will reopen in early August. Rather than shorten the Summer Movie Series, the schedule will continue on in the Halloran Centre with the screening of eight films, including a family matinee. Pre-show activities will be held in the spacious Halloran Centre lobby and concessions/bar will be available in the lounge.

To ensure seating, guests are encouraged to arrive early to the 361-seat Halloran Centre theatre located at 225 South Main Street, next door to the Orpheum Theatre. Doors open at 6 PM and guests can enjoy the drink special, selfie station, and pre-film activities including a movie trivia match game, love quizzes, and a poll asking the age-old question: Can men and women really just be friends?

Tickets are $8 for adults and are available at www.orpheum-memphis.com, the Orpheum Box Office (901.525.3000), and the ticket counter at The Booksellers at Laurelwood. Parties of 10 or more can enjoy special rates to create the perfect outing for groups, clubs, and employees. Contact Shelby Davis at groups@orpheum-memphis.com or 901.529.4226 for all group inquiries.
