In 1999, Falcon presented this rollercoaster romp through William Shakespeare's comedies, tragedies, histories and romances.....and no one could ever see the Bard in the same way again! What does Shakespeare have to do with football, rap, bad Scottish accents and cooking shows? Come find out as we revive this hilarious show that visits each and every one of Shakespeare's plays....with a cast of three versatile actors and some truly bad wigs.

According to Wikipedia, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) began life as a 25 minute version of Hamlet, written by Daniel Singer, that was originally performed at a Renaissance Festival in California. Jess Borgeson and, later, Adam Long, became part of the cast, and Singer and Long wrote an abbreviated version of Romeo and Juliet that was added to the Renaissance Fair/street performance repertoire. In 1987 they combined these two shows and added the rest of the material covering Shakespeare's other works to create a show they could enter in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. The resulting success led to the show being expanded once again to its current length, in which form it began to tour the world. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) has been performed in London, the United States, Ireland, Singapore, Australia and Tokyo, among other places, according to the Reduced Shakespeare Company website.Over time, the original writers and performers have departed the group, to be replaced by ReEd Martin, Austin Tichenor, and Matt Croke, among others. Other shows created by the Reduced Shakespeare Company include The Complete History of America (Abridged), The Bible: The Complete Word of God (Abridged) (performed by Falcon in our 2002-2003 season and featuring Jay Benson in the cast) and The Complete Millenium Musical (Abridged). A new production, The Complete World of Sports (Abridged) is set to debut in 2010 (Reduced Shakespeare Company website).
