The holidays are here and The Carnegie is getting into the spirit. On Saturday, December 10, The Carnegie will welcome school and community choirs from across Northern Kentucky for a joyful celebration of the season. Happy Holidays with The Kentucky Choirs, the second event in the 2016-17 G.E.T. Together Series, will feature performances at 3pm and 7:30pm.

Adding to the festivities while choirs are performing holiday classics in the Otto M. Budig Theatre, The Carnegie will host a holiday market in The Galleries from 2-9pm. Audience members can browse and purchase an array of handmade items from local artists and crafters, perfect for unique holiday gifts. Children can get into the holiday spirit by creating a holiday masterpiece of their own in the craft corner. And everyone can enjoy a trip or two to the hot cocoa bar.

"Happy Holidays with the Kentucky Choirs is about transforming The Carnegie into a festive holiday bazaar," said Carnegie Theatre Director Maggie Perrino. "The building will be filled with carols and gifts and the sweet smell of hot cocoa. It's the perfect family outing for all ages!"

Participating choirs include the Notre Dame Academy Pandatones, Calvary Christian's Sounds of Praise Touring Choir, Covington Latin, University of Louisville's Cardinal Singers, and the NKU Carolers.

Tickets are $21, $15 for students and include a complimentary drink from the hot cocoa bar. Purchase two or more G.E.T. Together Series events at the same time and receive a $3 discount on all tickets. Tickets may be purchased through The Carnegie Box Office at 859.957.1940, open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5pm, or online at www.thecarnegie.com.

The new G.E.T. Together series is a collaborative, interactive series brining together the talents of The Carnegie's Gallery, Education, and Theatre departments. The 2016-17 Carnegie G.E.T. Together Series Media Sponsor is WMKV.
