Photo Flash: First Look at HEDWIG at Pandora Productions

inally on the Pandora stage, one of the most requested titles in our history. After having an incredibly successful run on Broadway with stars such as Neil Patrick Harris, Michael C. Hall and Taye Diggs, Pandora Productions closes the 16-17 season with: Hedwig and The Angry Inch, book and lyrics by John Cameron Mitchell and music by Stephen Trask.

A rock concert with political as well as psychosexual overtones. "Hedwig" tells the story of an East German "slip of a girlyboy" who becomes (almost) a woman, (almost) an American and (almost) a rock star. Hedwig's persona may be as solid as the Berlin Wall she grew up behind. Foulmouthed, electrically tuneful and furiously funny, with explicit descriptions of its title character's bungled sex-change operation and erotic adventures. The Angry Inch, after all, refers not only to the band, but also to what was left of Hedwig's male genitalia after surgery.

Hedwig and The Angry Inch is being directed by the company's Artistic Director, Michael J. Drury, and stars: Neill Robertson as Hedwig and Katherine Martin as Yitszhak. The company proudly introduces new Musical Director, Michael Vettraino and welcomes back Choreographer, Alfred Dales Jones, Jr. for this production. It will run May 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 at 7:30 p and May 14 and 21 at 5:30 p with the only matinee set for May 20 at 2:00 p. The rock musical will be performed at Pandora's home theatre in the Henry Clay building located at 604 South Third Street, 3rd Floor, Downtown Louisville.

Some performances have limited availability already.
