For a midsummer treat, bursting with song and romance, don’t miss The Most Happy Fella, produced by Youth Musical Theater Company (YMTC). This classic musical by Frank Loesser tells the story of Rosabella, a young woman from San Francisco, who is wooed by Tony, an aging Italian grape farmer from Napa Valley. Their age difference naturally leads to trouble, but love prevails. The richly emotional show boasts a gorgeous score of nearly 40 songs, including “Standing on the Corner” and “Warm All Over.” A 30-piece orchestra of professional musicians will support the talented cast of performing arts students. The show runs from July 21 to July 30, on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15–28, available at www.ymtcbayarea.com or at the door.
