The Hollywood Industry is getting back to work, and The Soraya is celebrating with all the hard-working individuals and families who sacrificed so much these past few months.
Celebrating the holidays at The Soraya has become a tradition for families across the greater Los Angeles region. With a wide variety of offerings for members of all families — including the increasingly popular Nochebuena: A Christmas Spectacular — The Soraya's festive celebration spans across nine performances by five artists.
Once again, The Soraya becomes home for family holiday traditions as December brings a variety of offerings that are designed for the entire family to enjoy.
In what has become a popular holiday tradition at The Soraya, the lively Nochebuena celebration returns live on stage for two free performances Friday, December 10 at 8pm and Saturday, December 11 at 3 pm. These are the final 2021 free concerts presented by The Soraya as a thank to audiences returning to live performances.
The Soraya celebrates both its 10th Anniversary and Opening Night of the 2021-22 Season with a free performance—Grammy Award winner Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra performing his cross-border collaboration Fandango at the Wall.
In what has become a popular holiday tradition at The Soraya, the lively Nochebuena celebration returns this year as Nochebuena En Casa, an online presentation available to audiences beginning Friday, December 18, 2020 at 5pm.

Ballet Folklórico de Los Ángeles takes center stage at The Soraya, with Eugenia León, La Diva de México, who brings her elegant, powerful vocals. She will be backed by LA's own Mariachi Garibaldi. Nochebuena continues The Soraya's tradition of celebrating the holidays, Mexican-style with two performances on Saturday, December 14 at 3:00pm and 8:00pm.
Voctave, the YouTube sensation with over 100 million views, will bring its popular holiday show to The Soraya on Sunday, December 15 at 3:00pm. With dynamically rich harmonies and pitch perfect melodies, Voctave's The Spirit of the Season is a holiday treat for the entire family. The Soraya's 2019 holiday programming also includes Aspen Sante Fe Ballet's The Nutcracker on December 7 & 8 and Nochebuena featuring Eugenia León, Ballet Folklórico de Los Ángeles, and Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar on December 14.
Executive Director Thor Steingraber unveils the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts' 2019-20 Season, which features a reconsideration of Randy Newman's musical Faust, in a concert format (May 9), an opening night recital with Itzhak Perlman accompanied by Rohan De Silva, piano (September 19), and a Beethoven 250th Birthday Celebration featuring six concerts beginning with Jonathan Biss, piano (October 15 & 16); other concerts include the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio (November 13), Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Pinchas Zukerman, Principal Guest Conductor and Violin Soloist (January 24), Christian Tetzlaff, violin, with Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (February 7), Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Joshua Bell (March 4) and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra (March 25).
The Soraya continues its tradition of celebrating the holidays, Mexican-style with two performances of Nochebuena (Christmas Eve in Mexico) on Saturday, December 8 at 3:00pm and 8:00pm. Ballet Folklorico de Los Ángeles takes center stage in an evening that features the finest of Los Angeles' artists, including Mariachi Garibaldi and Ángela Aguilar, the 14-year-old phenomenon and daughter of renowned Mexican singer Pepe Aguilar.
Continuing the momentum created with the current season launch of its Music Knows No Borders series, Executive Director Thor Steingraber unveils the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts' 2018-19 Season, which features four world premieres, two American premieres, several of the world's greatest orchestras, innovative jazz programs, two tributes to Hollywood legends, Broadway classics plus artists from 18 different nations who will appear on stage at The Soraya next season. New Subscription Series tickets will go on sale May 1, 2018.
