Inspired by true events, “The Prom,” tells the story of a high school student named Emma who is banned from bringing her girlfriend to the school prom. When four Broadway stars hear about Emma’s plight, they put a spotlight on the issue – and themselves – by trying to change the town’s mentality and giving Emma the prom she deserves.
Based on one of the most colorful stories in the Bible, the musical 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' sweeps onto the stage at The Lewis and Shirley White Theatre at the Jewish Community Center for the very first time, beginning a four-week run, Saturday evening, July 1 and continuing through July 23.
The Lewis and Shirley White Theatre is at 5801 W. 115th St, Overland Park.
