Next Thursday, April 20th at 20:30, the duo Tamar and Netanel will have their premiere performance at Confederation House, which will present songs from their new album to be released this year. Tamar and Netanel Amar, a married and musical couple, both grew up in Jerusalem to Jewish observant families, but met during different periods of their lives. While Tamar was in the midst of promoting her debut album, Netanel was composing music and dreaming of a music career which seemed to be only a dream.

They met at 2013 at Tamar's performance and both felt an immediate connection which naturally led to forming a duo and then marriage.

Their joint musical journey resulted in their first album, Peace of Mind, which was released in 2015 and combines American folk influences from the early 20th century and the 1960s (Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, John Denver), contemporary sound influenced by such artists as Cap-Singer and Alison Krauss, and melodies with Jewish influences. Their album, which was marketed independently in Israel and worldwide, has already sold almost 1,000 physical and digital copies. It was chosen as one of the 200 best albums of 2015 by Record 1001 Magazine. The three singles which were released were played on radio stations in parts of the United States (Nashville, San Francisco), in Australia and, of course, in Israel.

For Tamar and Natanel, love is the name of the game: their melodic and simple songs deal with love of earthy nature, free love, love of music and the love that they share, as well as faith and hope.
