Israel Musicals presents The Producers. The show has grown beautifully since its opening during Sukkot, and the greatest sound heard in the room is that of the audience laughing at the jokes. That's the company's mission, right there.

In theater, it's hard to predict which lines will get the guffaws. In this Israeli-Jewish production, there have been some adjustments.

There is no swastika onstage. How will Franz Liebkind, the playwrite of Springtime For Hitler (played brilliantly by comedian David Kilimnick, pictured), react when he sees the symbol we've designed instead? Without spoiling the plot for you, the lines Israel Musicals has given the actors for that moment both reflect the company's sensitivities when dealing with a fanatic and have consistently gotten big laughs.

This production is also proud to share free tickets with members of the Aguda Lamilchama Basartan (Israel Cancer Association), and share the laughter with them. That's why Israel Musicals chose this show - for the laughter. (The song and dance don't hurt either.)

The final Jerusalem show of this run is tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, 8PM at Beit Shmuel. Afterwards the show will play at the Givatayim Theatre on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 20:00. Come laugh with us!
