Eugene O’Briens award winning play Eden, brings to life a gallery of colourful midland characters. At the hearts of his word is a moving, funny and tragic portrait of the failing marriage of Billy and Breda and the weekend that will make or break them.
Breda’s not lookin’ at all bad, she has certainly lost the weight, there’s no denying that. But Ernie and Evonne’s daughter Imelda is such a beautiful ride of a thing. And Tony thinks he’s James Galway – the man with the ‘golden flute’ – now Billy wants to show them all that he’s James Galway.

From the author of RTE’s acclaimed drama series, ‘Pure Mule’, Eugene O’Brien’s debut play Eden won Best New Play at the Irish Times Theatre Awards and Best New Play for the Stewart Parker Awards.
Eden is a powerful story of an ordinary relationship on an extraordinary weekend. In a major new national touring production, Decadent Theatre are bringing together a stellar cast of ‘Patrick Ryan (Trivia, Pure Mule) and Lesley Conroy (The Running Mate, Mattie).
