Feature: ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta Presents UNIVERSE BEHIND THE DOORS: Contemporary Art Exhibition in Hotel Rooms

"UNIVERSE BEHIND THE DOORS" is a contemporary art exhibition held in the hotel rooms of ARTOTEL Thamrin - Jakarta, a collaboration between ARTOTEL Indonesia and Art Dept Id, supported by Generation-G.

This exhibition features artwork of 26 emerging Indonesian contemporary artists with five host couples, showcased in five of ARTOTEL Thamrin - Jakarta's hotel rooms located in Mezzanine floor.

The participating hosts in this exhibition are public figure from a variety of professions who have similar interests in art: Dian Sastrowardoyo & Maulana Indraguna, actress and her partner; Andien Aisha & Ippe Wahyudi, Jazz songstress and her partner; Adhika maxi & Karen Carlotta, chef-owners of Union Brasserie group; Leonard Theosabrata & Irene Yuliana, founders of Indoestr creative workshop; Diaz Parzada & Wilsen Willim, art and fashion enthusiast.

In each room, the hosts collaborate with 5 to 6 young artists, 26 artists in total, grouped under 5 different art concepts for display in the hotel rooms. The artists have been selected by curator Sally Texania appointed the Art Dept Id team.

Catch this in-room Art Exhibition open for public starting on October 22nd until the 23rd, 2016 and afterwards to continue to the ARTSPACE exhibition area, at Mezzanine floor, from October 24th to November 20th, 2016.

ARTOTEL is A collection of ART inspired DESIGN hotels featuring original artwork by talented Indonesian contemporary ARTISTS. With a motto: "THIS WORLD IS BUT A CANVAS TO OUR IMAGINATION", ARTOTEL location ranged in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.
