Zest! is a platform for campus and youth theatre. Every month, winners of inter-collegiate drama competitions and other fine youth productions are showcased at the NCPA. This month winners of the Thespo 15 will perform at Zest!
Kabadi Uncut:
Landfill is a huge mountain of garbage spread over a vast area. What exactly happens to the garbage collected from our house? There are people working at the Landfill day in day out to fill their stomachs. This play takes a closer look into the lives of these people who have created their own happy world in the leftovers of the others. The story revolves around a girl who finds a movie camera. Things take a wild turn when 3 students come on the landfill to shoot for a documentary on rag pickers. This play beautifully depicts the essence of relations, fun, sorrow, pain and joy. Rag pickers are born in garbage, they live in garbage and they eventually die in garbage but above all, as they say there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
