The Paranjoti Academy Chorus is one of India’s premiere choruses. It has frequently toured Europe, US, Japan, the Philippines and Korea, and won several prizes in competitions. Its vast repertoire ranges from medieval European music to modern works of new composers. Primarily an a cappella group, the chorus is directed by Coomi Wadia, the internationally-renowned conductor who is also the recipient of numerous awards. Brahms’s Requiem will be performed with two pianos in the composer’s own arrangement.
