National Centre Performing Arts presents Famous Last Words, a Banyan Tree production, from Sat. 14th January 2012 at 07:00 PM to Sun. 15th January 2012 at 07:00 PM.

Famous Last Words is part of NCPA's experimental theatre. It is an English play written by Anish Trivedi. It has a story and direction by Dipika Roy. The cast features Anish Trivedi, Amrita Puri, Sahil Jaffrey and Dipika Roy.

Anil Shah is a critically acclaimed writer who hasn’t written a word in five years. Living off his fading fame, he is cutting a swathe through society with a glass in one hand and a girl on each arm.

Behind every lazy man, however, is a successful woman. Unfortunately, in Shah’s case it’s two women—both sexy and seductive, but worlds apart. One is unsusceptible to his charm, while the other finds him a little too charming. Shah is served a beguiling cocktail of ideas and enthusiasm—not that he wants enthusiasm, unless it comes in a glass with ice cubes. We see his path to hell being paved with the good intentions of three people who say they care about him but might just be the ones leading him to his doom. Shah is left wondering just who will be the one to stab him in the back—as they all laugh their way to the bank.
