Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) presents The Music Man, running tonight, May 5-17 at The Hobby Center for Performing Arts - Sarofim Hall (800 Bagby St., Houston, TX, 77002).

The Music Man is the great American classic that tells the story of fast-talking, musical instruments salesman, Harold Hill, who cons the good folks of River City, Iowa, into believing that he can teach their children to play in a marching band despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. Before the fraudulent teacher can skip town with the loot, Harold's got trouble when he falls for the quick-witted, not to mention beautiful, small town librarian, Marian.

Meredith Wilson's six-time, Tony Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. Come one, come all to reminisce or to discover the "Seventy-Six Trombones" and many other timeless songs from this piece of musical Americana.

Tickets: $25 - $124, online at tuts.com or over the phone at 713.558.TUTS.
