Circle of Fifths, a young professional's subscription series spanning music, theater, and dance, introduces audiences to 5 additional premiere Houston performing arts organizations in their second season.

The original five organizations of the Circle of Fifths, Ars Lyrica Houston, Da Camera, Houston Chamber Choir, Mercury, and ROCO, are joining with Opera in the Heights, Main Street Theater, The Catastrophic Theater, METdance, and Musiqa to collaborate in a subscription series designed to attract young professionals.

"It is my personal belief the arts should engage and enable people to connect and come together," says Paige Myrick, Executive Director of Opera in the Heights and Creator of Circle of Fifths. "This concept is a new approach to an old problem. By giving young professionals the opportunity to access multiple organizations we're creating a larger, more robust arts community and cultivating new audiences," says Myrick.

Many inaugural year subscribers never attended a performance with the organizations involved in Circle of Fifths. "I typically attend a few performances a year by large-scale groups, but wasn't familiar with the chamber music scene at all. I loved both the music and more intimate scale of the Circle of Fifths performances, and will definitely be attending more performances featured by the group," says Catherine Clayton, a first year subscriber.

The subscription series, Circle of Fifths, provides audiences with an option to pick 5 performances priced at $119, or pick 10 performances at $209. Subscriptions include special event invitations, a "bring a friend" pass, complimentary drinks, and opportunities to mix and mingle with other event-goers.
