"On June 12, 2017, the Board of Directors of Bayou City Concert Musicals voted to cease operations as of the end of July 2017. This decision was not made lightly. It has become increasingly obvious that the business plan and finances are simply not sustainable long term.

For the past eleven years, BCCM has worked to bring you the best of classic American music and musical theatre. We feel like we have largely succeeded artistically, but finances are another story. The organization has lived on the financial edge for its entire history. With no change likely in the near future, the Board chose to bring down the curtain with dignity.

We cannot thank you enough for your support over the years. Knowing we have loyal fans was the hardest factor in the ultimate decision to shut down.

Again, thank you for your support over the years and we urge you to continue to support live theatre in Houston."
