When one has, throughout his life of joyous and fearless hero, survived the battles against the army of the Grand Turk, the most terrible beasts of the forest, several months in the stomach of a whale, fire, water, space vacuum on the moon, the wrath of Vulcan, and even – supreme exploit - the charms of Venus herself, it is understandable that at the end of his life, one can be a little tired.

Such is the case of Baron Munchausen, aged 100 years old, bedridden, sick, dying. He, who never knew dying like anyone else, wishes to leave like everyone else. He therefore calls Death, a dear old friend, to tell him that this time, it’s over. But the Grim Reaper does not see it that way, and makes a deal with the Baron: an ultimate mission to accomplish accompanied by a group of children; if he succeeds the final relief will come. That’s what Death is like; he comes when not wanted and when he’s being searched he disappears. In fact, Death is a scoundrel.

The Man who didn’t know how to die recounts this last round between the Baron and Death. A very serious subject, funny nevertheless (if not the contrary). Off we go for a trip to the bottom of the sea, an unexpected encounter with an immortal and boring Chinese emperor, a space trip in a rocket ship made in the Forge of Vulcan (him again), and many others adventures. But let us not worry, in the end the good ones win, albeit in a somewhat unusual way... Are you ready for the trip?
