Whether you call yourself Parisian or you're just visiting the City of Light, Broadway au Carré is the hottest ticket in Paris to get your American musical theatre fix, along with a good glass of red wine.

Once a month, you can kick off your Wednesday evening at Le Carré Parisien, a typical Parisian café and cave-à-vins, with a cabaret concert by a featured performer, followed by an open mic, where some of the best local artists gather to belt out their favorite Broadway show tunes. Broadway au Carré also features a new musical theatre composer each month, with a set of songs that have never been performed in Europe before. The list of featured composers this season includes Will Van Dyke, Daniel Mate, Andrew Byrne, Peter Saxe and Niko Tsakalakos, among others.

July 2nd is the date to remember if you want to come to Broadway au Carré's next show. This month the evening will start with a showcase of one of the main musical theatre schools in France, the Studio International des Arts de la Scène - Vanina Mareschal, featuring five remarkable students : Sophie Faguin, Justine Ogor, Matilda Serna, Pierre Lecomte and Loaï Abdel-Rahman. These performers, young talents of the new generation of the French comédie musicale milieu, will be accompanied by famous music director Raphaël Sanchez (The Lion King, Avenue Q, Spamalot) and directed by Broadway au Carré's founder and artistic director Lisandro Nesis. The second part of the evening will include the "American Composers, European Premieres" set and an American musical theatre open mic, both accompanied by Raphaël Sanchez. The featured composers of the month will be Scott Burkell and Paul Loesel, whose songs will be performed by Léovanie Raud, Hervé Lewandowski and Lisandro Nesis. "We're so grateful to Paul and Scott for having taken the time to work so closely with us on this last American Composers, European Premieres set of the season," says Broadway au Carré's artistic director Lisandro Nesis, "it will be a real pleasure to present their works for the first time in Europe, including the brand-new vocal arrangement of Ordinary Day that Paul Loesel created especially for our Parisian team. It will make for the perfect grand finale for our Broadway au Carré season and we can't wait to share this wonderful music with our French audience!"

Broadway au Carré takes place once a month on Wednesday evenings at Le Carré Parisien located at 1, rue du Général Beuret, 75015 Paris, France.
