Summer is here, which means some great theatre for people of all ages! There are so many great productions put on in South Florida, and here are some of our top picks for shows in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!

AL COMPAS DEL QUIJOTE

Angeles Gitanos Flamenco Dance Studio presents their Annual Flamenco Dance recital, under the direction of Monika Lange. This year representing extracts from Don Quijote de La Mancha. We are going to experience different important fragments from this literary work. Students will show all their acquired knowledge this school year, learning this beautiful dance declared by the UNESCO intangible heritage of Humanity. Live musicians, Roberto Hermandez and Mario Icaza will give a tough of authentic flamenco, with our special guest Jose Luis Uz as El Quijote.

ISRAELI'S DANCE FESTIVAL'S FESTIVAL YACHAD: ISRAEL SHALI

Festival Yachad will feature more than 500 young dancers on stage with local groups and invited companies from Mexico, Brazil, Panama and Israel, performing to Israeli folk dance music, with colorful costumes, amazing scenery and spectacular lighting effects. This year our Festival Yachad reaches 19 years and the Gala Performance theme is "Israel Sheli", which in Hebrew means "My Israel". Each dance is choreographed to portray a different way everyone connects to Israel, either by its culture, its history, its traditions, its food, etc.

MARIO CANTONE "ON THE WAY TO BROADWAY"

Parker Playhouse | June 13th

With music, comedy and a kickin' band, Mario Cantone is On the Way to Broadway by way of the Parker Playhouse in his new show that features his irreverent humor and wickedly funny impersonations. Best known for his role as the sassy wedding planner on Sex and the City and colorful stints as a guest host on The View, he gained critical acclaim on Broadway for his Tony Award-nominated one-man show Laugh Whore, which later aired on Showtime, and his roles in Broadway's Assassins and Love! WAISTWATCHERS THE MUSICAL

The longest-running show in South Florida in the last decade now comes to Broward County for the first time, exclusively at The Broward Stage Door Theatre. This hysterical musical that is entertaining audiences across the nation, will having you clapping along and jumping to your feet. Set in a women's gym, four ladies belt their way through 24 comic parodies of well-known songs, dealing with food, diets, exercise, plastic surgery, and relationships.
