SEEKING the following roles:

CLEMMENT MUSGROVE
Male, 50s. A likeable planter and the richest man in the Mississippi Territory. He is extremely proud of his success, wealth, and estate, but prizes his daughter Rosamund above all else. A bit oblivious at times. Must sing well. Seeking a strong comedic actor.

SALOME MUSGROVE
Female, 40s-Mid 50s. Clemment’s second wife. A greedy, materialistic, scheming woman. She resents her stepdaughter Rosamund’s beauty and often allows her intense dislike to consume her. Must sing well. Seeking a strong comedic actor.

ROSAMUND MUSGROVE
Female, Early-Mid 20s. Clemment’s daughter with his first wife. Young, innocent and strikingly beautiful. She knows little of life outside her father’s house, but is eager to discover it. Must sing extremely well. Mezzo-Soprano.

LITTLE HARP
Male, 30s-40s. A dim-witted robber who preys on the town with his brother. Seeking a strong comedic actor who sings.

BIG HARP
Male, Mid-30s-40s. The elder and smarter of the Harp brothers. Quite literally the brains of the operation. Seeking a strong comedic actor who sings.

GOAT
Male, Mid 20s-30s. An extremely simple young man. A vacant half-wit, but well-meaning and content with his life in Mississippi. Seeking a strong comedic actor who sings.

GOAT’S MOTHER/RAVEN
Female, 20’s-30’s GOAT’S MOTHER: A shrill, perceptive woman.
RAVEN. Little Harp’s cantankerous and sharp-eyed pet bird. Seeking a strong comedic actor who sings well.

LANDLORD/AIRIE/CALLER
Male, 20’s-30’s. LANDLORD: The smooth talking proprietor of the inn in Rodney. AIRIE: Goat’s giggly, spacey sister. CALLER: Joyful overseer of the village dance. Seeking a strong comedic actor who sings. (note: this track will be under a Chorus Contract, but will be auditioned here at this EPA)
