SEEKING:
SIMS
Male, 40s-50s: A charismatic man, smart, wickedly playful. Suave and in control. Enjoys being able to seduce people and manipulate any situation. A lover of art, beauty and the finer things in life. A genius computer programmer and creator of an impeccable beautiful and life like virtual realm. He is sexually attracted to pre-pubescent girls- a pedophile but not a psychopath, as he can feel remorse. He is willfully blind to his own need for intimacy, for it may inspire emotions he cannot explain or control. His virtual identity is PAPA, who runs The Hideaway, serving as a gracious host and father figure to the “children”.
MORRIS
Female, 20s: Elvin. A brilliant, strong, and determined woman. Star rookie detective with a Nether taskforce handling online obscenity. She has fought her way out of a neglected childhood do become a hunter of those who use sex and violence to seduce users into abandoning their in-world lives. Holds her moral beliefs strongly. Enjoys a challenge. Navigates all situations using her acumen. Fearful of her own sexuality, of drawing people too close, of being physically touched. Her virtual identity is WOODNUT.
DOYLE
Male, 60s+: A sympathetic man, crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. A teacher of science most of his years, but has grown cynical of the school systems and found a surprising simpatico with the virtual identity of a little girl, IRIS. He believes people should be allowed to appear as they choose and follow their hearts, and that relationships created in virtual are just as real-if not more- than those in-world. As IRIS, he’s fallen in love with PAPA and wishes to leave his in-world existence and live permanently in The Hideaway.
WOODNUT
Male, 20s: MORRIS’ avatar. An appealing man, healthy, friendly and frank. He is like the handsome-young-uncle-type to IRIS. He arrives at The Hideaway and forges a relationship with her to secure evidence that can put SIMS out of business, but surprises himself by becoming emotionally attached.
IRIS
Girl 8-12 years old Shining and new - innocent and sweet. Can seem wise beyond her years. She is the daughter/creation of SIMS (successful businessman who has designed and operates ‘the Hideaway’ within the Nether/online world). She is the avatar of DOYLE (male 60-70’s older science teacher). Needs to be able to express deep emotions, love, sadness, anger and heartbreak. Material is very dark & discusses violence towards children…no actual violence, nudity, etc. Script will be avail for review prior to auditions or by request.
