Please prepare one musical selection, clearly marked, approximately 16-bars in length and a one-minute contemporary monologue OR one monologue no longer than two minutes in length. Also, please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

NEWTON “NEWT” STOVER III – he/him, mid-30s to early 40s, White. Former Business Manager. Grandson and namesake of Bluff City Tracks’ founder, determined to make something of it and himself.

LEE HARA – they/them, early 20s, any ethnicity. Audio/Visual logistics Manager (i.e., unpaid intern) at Bluff City Tracks. Recent graduate of the University of Memphis. A techno-whiz.

DEREK BENOIT – he/him mid 30s to early 40s, African American. Scholar, musician, Newt’s former bandmate. Racing, however half-heartedly, to finish his doctoral dissertation on Deaf Duck Mason before his Ph.D, clock runs down.

GIGI ROBINS – she/her, late 20s or early 30s, African American. Aspiring investigative journalist, currently Home Delivery Manager for the New Paltz Record, but not for long. Committed to justice for her family and herself.

SHEILA WOJCIECHOWSKI – she/her, 50s to 70s, white. President of a regional bank in Memphis. Nobody’s fool, but open to amazement.

ALFRED “DEAF DUCK” MASON – he/him, 60s, African American. Legendary blues guitarist and singer. Died in Bluff City Tracks on October 23, 1966, during his first and only recording session. Deaf from the age of 15; uses ASL. Moves through walls.
