Actors for Tent Theatre’s 55th Season: She Loves Me, The Three Musketeers (Ken Ludwig), Nice Work If You Can Get It. See breakdown.


PREPARATION

Please prepare EITHER: 1) if auditioning for all productions, prepare 16 bars of a golden-age musical and a one minute monologue (do not sing from the show); OR 2) prepare a brief monologue under 2 minutes if only auditioning for THREE MUSKETEERS. If singing, bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Bring picture and resume.

SHE LOVES ME

Seeking:

Georg Nowack:
TENOR/BARITONE. An established employee of Maraczek's Parfumerie, he resembles a hopeless romantic. Shy, intelligent, and soft spoken. He is like the son Mr. Maraczek never had.

All other roles have been CAST.

NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT
First day of rehearsal 6/26, Open 7/12, Close 7/23

Seeking:

Jimmy Winter:
A wealthy and handsome playboy about to be married. Actor must have great charm, comic skills, must sing and move very well. BARI-TENOR

Billie Bendix:
Tough, clever, feisty and streetwise. Partners in rum-running with her best friends Cookie and Duke. Has always lived in a man’s world until she meets Jimmy, a millionaire playboy, and falls in love. Very appealing, attractive and, underneath her tough veneer, must have a strong sense of vulnerability. Actress must be a skilled farceur. CHEST MIX. Must move very well.

Cookie McGee:
Fast-talking, wisecracking bootlegger. Can talk anyone into or out of anything. He is mistaken for Jimmy’s butler, and has to keep up the charade. Actor must understand old-fashioned vaudeville-style comedy a la Abbott and Costello. CHARACTER BARITONE.

Seeking:

Athos:
The Mountain. Courage of a lion and a bit dark and dangerous because of a secret past. Might be the best swordsman in all of France.

Milady (doubles as Old Woman):
Beautiful, brilliant, precise and the most dangerous woman in all of France. Has no problem kissing a man and then killing him. Like a female preying mantis who eats her mate after making love! Surprises up her sleeve and can duel with the best of men.
