Please note: Bamboo in Buswick will run for two ½ weeks at Urban Stages in Manhattan, then spend two ½ weeks touring to venues in each of the other boroughs of NYC as part of Working Theater Five Boroughs/One City Initiative. All rehearsals will be held at 520 8th Avenue, 3rd Floor.

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.

BREAKDOWN

Edson/Green: A twenty-eight year-old undocumented Mexican immigrant (Spanish required). He is one of the best handymen in Bushwick, where he lived for twelve years. Though now he calls East New York home. He’s married with two young daughters.

Crispin/Blue: A fifty year-old Puerto Rican Bushwick native (Spanish required). He is a retired N.Y.C. social worker. He’s known as El Presidente on his block and is an avid domino player though he’s not as good as he thinks he is.

Nirt/Indigo: A forty-year-old Black visual artist. On the street he's known as one of the best freehand artist. He is a Bed Stuy native and a graduate of the Pratt Institute. Where he currently teaches part time.
