One cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter, while the Northern Lights hover in the sky, There's still time to travel up to ALMOST, MAINE this weekend with Possum Point Players. The little town of questionable existence may be set in spare black box theatre style, but the richness of the fictional characters provides colorful, multi-textured reflections of all who watch what unfolds under the Northern Lights.

ALMOST, MAINE is performed April 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 PM; Sunday shows, 2 PM. Tickets are $18; seniors and students are $17. Tickets may be purchased on line at www.possumpointplayers.org or by calling 856-4560. Possum Hall is located at 441 Old Laurel Rd., Georgetown.

The nine mini plays within a play answer many of life's most perplexing questions. Can you believe there is someone who will walk to the ends of the earth for you? What is the appropriate response to a stranger you find pitching a tent in your yard? Can a misspelled tattoo lead to love? If you have to bag up all the love you received from someone and ask for yours to be bagged and returned, do you use paper or plastic?

All these questions and more will be answered in one cold night, in one visit to ALMOST, MAINE. The sometimes romantic, sometimes sentimental, sometimes humorous, sometimes sad little play is sometimes almost a comedy, sometimes almost a love story. Jeezum crow, the characters will show you it seems almost like life.

Appearing in ALMOST, MAINE are Doug Friend and Tara Wisely, Lewes; Cheryl Graves, Bill Ulichney and Laure Ulichney, Rehoboth Beach; Jerry Cox, Felton; Jill Lewandowski, Bridgeville; Barbara Logan, Seaford; Chuck Rafferty, Laurel; and John Zinzi, Milton. "Almost, Maine" is directed by Linda Killion of Lewes.
