Mrs. Bob Cratchit, wife of the long-suffering employee of Ebenezer Scrooge, has had enough and this is the year she lets it all go! Richardson Theatre Centre is delighted to present Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge with a cast of 22 adults and children, all working together to keep Mrs. C. calm. Unfortunately, keeping calm and carrying on aren't in her repertoire so she plans to drink herself into a stupor and make sure she doesn't have to endure another penniless Christmas.

Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge is a playful, cracked look at the perennial Dickens Christmas classic about mean Ebenezer Scrooge and his discovering the true meaning of Christmas through the visitation of Three Ghosts. In Christopher Durang's giddy version, the Ghost's magic is off, and Scrooge and the Ghost keep showing up at Bob Cratchit's house way too early, where Mrs. Bob Cratchit - a long suffering saint in the Dickens novel - is in a state of fury, hating her life and planning on getting drunk and jumping off the London Bridge. A crazy comedy for that wonderful and crazy time of year!

The show features visits by characters from Christmas classics It's a Wonderful Life and The Gift of the Magi, as well as Touched by an Angel and Oliver, all part of the Ghost's attempts at redemption in the lives of Scrooge and the Cratchits. Noted names from Enron even make an appearance in this wacky story, written by the award-winning playwright Durang. Filled with Christmas music as sung by the entire cast, this show intends to be a memorable stop on your holiday express.

In keeping with the Christmas theme, Richardson Theatre Centre will have a raffle of collectible dolls during the run of Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge. Raffle tickets can be purchased at all shows and the winners will be selected and announced following the conclusion of the show on Sunday, December 29th.

Performances will be held at Richardson Theatre Centre, located at 518 W. Arapaho Road, Suite 113, Richardson, Texas. Opening night is Friday, December 13 at 8:00 pm. Shows will be held on Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Tickets for the Thursday and Sunday performances are $20 and Friday and Saturday performances are $22. Tickets can be reserved by calling 972-699-1130 and leaving a message with the box office.

Richardson Theatre Centre, now in its 24th season, is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. They hope to furnish the citizens of Richardson and surrounding areas with a variety of works - many to amuse and entertain, others more weighty to invoke thought and deeper emotions. This show lands in the "amuse and entertain" category.
