Free Movie Mondays Continues Next Week with Harold and Maude

Don't miss the second installment of Segerstrom Center for the Arts' wildly popular free Movie Mondays when it returns to the Arts Plaza next week (July 18) with the cult classic Harold and Maude, being presented in partnership with public radio station KCRW-Santa Monica. Moviegoers are encouraged to dress up as their favorite odd couple (fiction or real-life) with prizes given to the best couples. Guests are invited to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk.

Featuring a remarkable soundtrack by Cat Stevens, this Harold and Maude tells the somewhat dark, but always hilarious story of teenage boy who meets an elderly lady at a funeral of a perfect stranger. Things get perfectly stranger and stranger as this unlikely pair find joy in each other and learn to celebrate all life has to offer. Rated PG, 1971, 2 hours and 31 minutes.

Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs or other easily portable seating items, as well as snacks and picnic suppers. Join us again on July 25 for musical comedy Victor/Victoria featuring Julie Andrews and James Garner.
