THE MUSIC MAN opens on April 20 at Garden Grove's historic GEM THEATRE presented by the award-winning One More Productions - one of Southern California's leading musical theater companies.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize -this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall. Funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best.

THE MUSIC MAN is directed by Damien Lorton and based on a story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey. The performance is backed by a live 7-piece band. The cast includes: Johnny Fletcher as Harold Hill, Erika Baldwin as Marian Paroo, Timothy Klega as Marcellus Washburn, Jon Michell as Mayor Shinn, Shannon Page as Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, Carmen Tunis as Mrs. Paroo, Megan Michell as Amaryllis, Zack Martinez as Tommy Djilas, and Sophia Scarsi as Zaneeta Shinn.

MerEdith Wilson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is sure to dazzle on The GEM Theater stage!
