Unexpected arrivals, and stylistic departures ... the three one-act plays presented in staged readings by the Orange County Playwrights Alliance on Saturday, October 5 present just that. Fullerton's STAGEStheatre hosts the latest OCPA event, featuring the works of 3 produced OC playwrights and actors and directors from across the Southland.

The Case of Maxie Stine by John Franceschini (Irvine) - In the afterlife assignment office, a screw-up can finally get a new job if he can just get one more soul to repent his or her sins. In walks a Broadway producer. A comedy directed by Pattric Walker (New Voices Playwrights Theatre). Featuring John Franceschini, David Rusiecki & Dee Shandera.

Time to Get Married by Arthur Kraft (Seal Beach) - Jimmy's father wants him to get married. His mother doesn't. A comedy directed by Wade Williamson (STAGEStheatre).

Grace Note by Robert Riemer (Laguna Beach) - A family prone to hallucinations finally sees the truth as a long-lost son shakily finds his way home. A drama directed by Roxane Rogers (Padua Playwrights). Featuring Max Faugno, Tina Preston, Brittany Slattery, Jim Storm, Wesley Walker & Mike Wiles.
