SOC's production to star one of the most beloved actors in the history of Orange County.

Hal Landon, Jr., a founding member of Costa Mesa's Tony Award Winning South Coast Repertory Theatre, will join David Denman and John Walcutt in this summer's production of HAMLET, under the direction of Peter Uribe (AS YOU LIKE IT, PIRATES OF PENZANCE) and Mike Peebler (ROMEO AND JULIET). Landon is arguably Orange County's most popular and beloved actor, having played Ebenezer Scrooge in SCR's annual hit production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL for thirty six consecutive years.

Mr. Landon, a recipient of Arts Orange County's Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award, the OC WEEKLY'S Contribution To Orange County Theatre Award, and a Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award Nomination, will play Polonius, to Mr. Denman's Hamlet, and Mr. Walcutt's Claudius in the production, which opens June 25. Mr. Landon has starred in over 100 plays at SCR, as well as dozens of TV appearances and cult films such as BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, ERASER HEAD, and THE ARTIST. Also announced as part of this exciting production is The Orange County School of The Arts' Conservatory of Classical Dance, and Westminster's VietCam Dance Group.
