Today, Curtain Call Podcast, an audio podcast featuring hour-long interviews with diverse theater professionals, announces the release of Episode 5 with special guest Oanh Nguyen, Artistic Director of Chance Theater in Anaheim on January 1, 2015. The podcast created by host Chuck Clay, an actor, writer, director and self-professed "stage enthusiast" debuted last September with an interview with star of stage and screen, actor Arye Gross (Stupid F*cking Bird at Boston Court, ABC's Castle).

Oanh Nguyen, who was recently profiled in OC Weekly's People Issue 2014, is a recipient of TCG's (Theater Communications Group) New Generations Grant and the TCG Nathan Cummings Young Leaders of Color Fellowship. He was awarded the Outstanding Artist Award by Arts Orange County, inducted into Anaheim High School's Hall of Fame and was the commencement speaker to the 2014 graduation class of Chapman University College of Performing Arts.

Podcast creator and host Chuck Clay says of the most recent episode, "I think of Oanh as somewhat of an ambassador of theater arts in O.C." "He's a force of nature. He's passionate, opinionated, and is kind of like this bundle of kinetic, positive energy, and joy," says Clay. "His enthusiasm is unmistakable and infectious."

"Curtain Call Podcast was born out of my own curiosity," Clay says. "I find it fascinating how different people discover their callings. With theater, the stories vary but almost all speak to a sense of community. If anything, I hope this podcast can enrich that sense of community."

Each episode (available on the first of each month) goes behind the scenes with the leading artists, technicians, and craftspeople on stage and behind the scenes of today's top theaters. This monthly interview program that spotlights the creative talents working in the theatrical industry across the country and around the world, puts the spotlight on folks who don't normally get a chance to shine-house managers, stagehands, dressers, casting directors, agents, producers, writers, actors, electricians, accountants, and more--guests get the chance tell stories about what brought them to the theater and what keeps them coming back time after time. A resource of interest to anyone in the performing arts, Curtain Call Podcast is available for free download from iTunes, Stitcher, and other fine purveyors of podcasts.
