One of the finest American comedy-dramas of the late twentieth century, Talley's Folly is the second play in Lanford Wilson's celebrated . Set in a dilapidated Victorian boathouse on July, 4th, 1944, in just about ninety minutes, the lives of Matt Friedman and Sally Talley, the oddest would-be couple ever, will be changed forever. While on vacation the previous summer, Matt met Sally and has since never forgotten her, sending her daily letters. Now, Matt takes the brave step to ask her to marry him.
