From 2012, the theatre more Julio Mario Santo Domingo and the Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitán made grants for creation of small and large format for original and innovative productions in the field of the performing arts. In 2013, the scholarship of medium format was created in order to extend this aid.
These projects, designed by a multidisciplinary creative team that provides the foundations for the construction of the proposal, should take into account as one of its components the venues of the theatre more Julio Mario Santo Domingo and the Jorge Eliecer Gaitan theatre for their premieres. Through these grants will encourage and prioritize the dialogue between artists (choreographers, playwrights, stage directors, musical directors, audiovisual artists, art directors, plastic artists, etc...) at all stages of the creation of the assemblies which will premiere and will circulate in these district scenarios.
The latest agreement
It proposes a dissection of the sound composition of the event 18/11/76 to build a nakedness that is different from the image of a body without clothes; the nakedness of the mechanism of the machine (scenic, somatic and mechanical). Is an act that delves into the polyphonic structure of all movement - from silence in the streets of winter until the agitation of a worn body - to experience what a monitoring or an endoscope camera visible.
Somatic machine
It is the encounter of the creators: Natalia Orozco, Javier Gutiérrez and Alexander Gümbel, artists that have shared research and creative concerns on issues such as: the poetic and political use of body and the stage space; the exploration of the different States of violence in the relationship between body, society and space; the scale of the stage gesture and the staging of everyday spaces, among others. Throughout his career have maintained an unrestricted interest in cause and expand the boundaries of different disciplines (dance, theatre, performance and video installation) which are the territory of his work.
