With this concert dedicated to peace among Nations, Jordi Savall and Hespèrion XXI group closed the IV Edition of the International Music Festival of Bogotá, which this year has as its central theme peace. Interpret program Folías ancient & Creole of the old and the new world.
Born in Spain, Jordi Savall is a renowned interpreter of viola da gamba, conductor and Spanish musicologist specialising in early music. In the 1970s, Savall created the Group Hespèrion XXI, which since its founding has become one of the most prestigious European music. Style interpretation, always creative and lively, not only has prevailed among different audiences, but it has opened up lines of interpretation, then supported by infi nity deconjuntos. Folías and dances from either side of the Atlantic are an ideal terrain for the group display his imagination, his character and his passion in the treatment of tones, rhythms, melodies... A celebration of imagination and color.
