With the aim of establishing a lyrical laboratory for the training of young singers and orchestras, the Central University and Bogota Symphony Orchestra Foundation present 'Gianni Schicchi' opera, Giacomo Puccini. Music Director Felipe Aguirre and Joan Anton Rechi stage direction.
This production, with advanced and professional students, counts with the participation in the main character of the recognized under Colombian baritone Valeriano Lanchas.
Gianni Schicchi, only comedy written by Puccini, is based on a passage from "The Divine Comedy" of Dante Alighieri and together with "Il tabarro" and "Suor Angelica" completes the triptych.
This work premiered in Colombia with great success on March 23, 2013, at the opening of the 50th Edition of the Popayán religious music at the Teatro Guillermo Valencia Festival and subsequently presented in the Teatro Municipal Enrique Buenaventura in Cali.
