Based in the United States since 1980, is one of the great drummers of the American scene. It is recognized by his master to play Brazilian instruments as well as others created by him. This time, gets to Colombia with her project Banquet of Spirits, a Quartet that moves in the land of jazz, improvisation and percussion plays.
The Quartet, which involves three of the emerging figures of the jazz and the avant-garde scene in New York, Shanir Ezra Blumenkranz, Tim Keiper and Brian Marsala, combines with humor, primitivism and sophistication sounds coming from the Jewish diaspora, Brazilian pop melodies, rock and some of the sensitivity of the Middle East. Under this name, Quartet, occasionally turned into Orchestra, has released three albums since 2008: Banquet of Spirits, infinity and Caym: The Book of Angels 17, all of them published by the prestigious label Tzadik.
