Village Players Performing Arts Center would like to acknowledge the sponsors for the 2008-2009 Season:  Park National Bank (Entire Season), Wednesday Journal (The Medium at Large), Forest Park National Bank & Trust Co. (Amadeus), Columbia College & Butler Family Foundation (Bat Boy: The Musical), & Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest (Sunday in the Park with George).

NEW NAME!

Additionally, the 2008-2009 Season marks the first full season performed under a new name and a new logo: Village Players Performing Arts Center. As the theatre diversified into offering a range of concerts, storytelling events, and a Black Box theatre series, Village Players Theatre was no longer an apt description of all the new programming taking place in the building at 1010 W. Madison.  In the coming weeks, the other season line-ups for 2008-2009 will be announced as well.

Furthermore, with the new name comes a new structure for Village Players. Having long outgrown its roots in community theatre, Village Players is now a professional, non-Equity theatre, hiring and paying actors and staff for all of the Mainstage productions.  Village Players expects this to allow the organization to continue to grow and expand in the coming seasons.

Presented in the Mainstage Theater of the newly renovated Village Players Performing Arts Center located at 1010 W. Madison St., Oak Park. Plenty of parking is available on the street. The theater is handicap accessible; please call ahead to arrange for special seating.   More information is available at www.village-players.org.

Village Players Performing Arts Center offers an eclectic mix of entertainment that empowers and inspires while exploring the human condition.
