Third Eye Theatre Ensemble has announced its 4th season, which focuses on Latin America.

Creación de Música:
In June, we visit the Pilsen neighborhood for an evening of vocal music by Latinx composers. Join us at Nitecap Coffee for an evening of canciones and bebidas. There might even be comidas.

With Blood, With Ink:
In October, we will be back at the Prop Thtr for another Chicago premiere. With Blood, With Ink tells the story of Sor Juana Inez de la Cruz, a 17th century nun and one of Mexico's greatest female writers. Known as the "Tenth Muse," her writings inspired devotion and controversy that eventually led to the church forcing her to renounce her life's work. Told from the perspective of Juana at the end of her life, With Blood, With Ink is a lyrically beautiful look at the female voice and the role of religion in promoting and repressing that voice. The opera had its professional premiere at Fort Worth Opera in April of 2014.

Third Eye Theatre Ensemble strives to champion operatic works that are new or seldom performed, while advocating social change and providing Chicago's emerging artists with performance opportunities.

Tickets for each performance will be available individually and announced for each production. For more information on mission, season selection, ticket availability, visit www.thirdeyete.org or email info@thirdeyete.com.
