"You grow up in it, but you never get used to it," said Arcada Theatre President/CEO Ron Onesti, referring to the snowstorm that caused him to postpone a long-awaited performance of former Jersey Boys stars last month.

Oh what a night it will be, Sunday, April 21, 7pm at The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles! Former Broadway and Chicago stars of the Tony-Award winning mega-hit musical "Jersey Boys" will take the stage that evening with their "Doo Wop Project" show, a presentation drawing standing ovations all over the country.

Leading the pack is Jarrod Spector, who gained a huge fan base when he opened the Chicago "Jersey Boys" show in the lead role of Frankie Valli. He was so spot-on with his incredible vocal ability that he went on to lead the Broadway cast, also as Frankie. This will be his first return to Chicago since performing in "Jersey Boys" at The Bank of America Theatre. Joining him will also be another Chicago "Frankie," Dominic Scaglione.

A full band of Broadway veterans, including accomplished Broadway musical director Sonny Paladino, backs the amazingly talented group of former "Jersey Boys" heartthrobs. The Doo Wop Project is a night of songs mixed with individual stories and references to the vocalists' upbringings and experiences in the business, particularly backstage at The August Wilson Theatre, home of Jersey Boys, where the idea for the group was conceived.

The concert will be backed by a high-energy, live band. It will not be a tribute to the Four Seasons but will capitalize on the entertainer's incredible harmonies and personality-packed performances of classic doo-wop hits such as "Since I Don't Have You" by The Skyliners, "Denise" by Randy & The Rainbows, "Little Bitty Pretty One" by Thurston Harris, "Morse Code of Love" by The Capris and other tunes from the likes of Dion & the Belmonts, The Platters, and more. The show will also include Doo-Wop-inspired renditions of contemporary songs such as Amy Winehouse's cover of "Valerie," Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" and Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours". Taking such contemporary songs and giving them the Doo Wop spin brings a whole new generation to the wonderful music of Doo Wop.

The Arcada Theatre, a historic 1926 classic music theatre is located at 105 East Main Street in Downtown St. Charles. Tickets are $29-$59 and available by calling 630.962.7000 or by logging onto www.oshows.com.
