RiverEdge Presents Free, Outdoor Sing-Along FROZEN, 8/15

You'd have to be living under a glacier not to know Frozen, Disney's 2013 animated musical comedy about sisterhood and snowmen, royalty and reindeer, and most importantly, true love appearing in the ways you least expect. It shattered box office records, won a few Academy Awards, introduced the world to one of the greatest songs in cinema history and became an instant Disney family classic.

Now, bring kids, friends, neighbors and friendly snowman to a fun night of singing along to one of the most incredible movies of all-time at Sing-A-Long Long Frozen: The Movie, Saturday, August 15 at RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway, downtown Aurora's beautiful outdoor concert and special event venue.

Admission is FREE to the public, thanks to a grant from the Dunham Fund.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. The Frozen fun starts at 7:15 p.m. with games for the kids, Anna and Elsa costume contests, prizes and much more.

At 8 p.m., the movie will start playing on a giant outdoor screen, and the Park will fill with voices young and old singing right along to everyone's favorite Frozen songs "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?," "Love Is An Open Door" and, of course, "Let It Go."

Sing-A-Long Frozen: The Movie is general admission only. No tickets necessary. Limited bench seating is available. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, folding chairs and bag chairs.

Parking is free for this event across the street from RiverEdge at the Aurora Transportation Center/Metra Lot. Additional parking is available in downtown Aurora. Fees vary.

In only its third season, Chicago and Chicago's western suburbs have a terrific summer destination in RiverEdge Park, a beautiful outdoor concert venue in downtown Aurora.

Anchored by the contemporary John C. Dunham performance pavilion, RiverEdge is a general admission park with a capacity of up to 8,500, boasting state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting, a warm community feel anda gorgeous view on the banks of the Fox River.

RiverEdge Park is located directly across from Metra's Aurora Transportation Center, on the east bank of the Fox River. RiverEdge is easily accessible from the city by taking Metra's Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) line. Free public parking is available in the Metra lot, additional private lots surrounding the Park and in downtown Aurora just a few blocks from RiverEdge.

Food and drink are available for purchase inside RiverEdge Park. Concessions at RiverEdge offer a diverse food menu along with a bar featuring a selection of domestic and craft beers, wine, sodas, bottled water and more. A busy row of festival food vendors will also set up tents to sell everything from hot dogs to funnel cakes. No outside food or drink (except sealed water bottles) are allowed in the park.

Scheduled events take place rain or shine, unless conditions endanger the safety of artists and the public. Concertgoers are advised to call the RiverEdge Park Weather Line, 630.723.2480, to check status if inclement weather is pending.
