Academy and Tony Award-winning playwright Tom Stoppard's most-beloved stage work, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is a comical absurdist delight, acclaimed as a modern masterpiece. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters from Shakespeare's Hamlet, become the stars in this inventive tale. The two are tasked with a strange mission: discovering their friend Hamlet's vengeful intentions. Then charged with escorting the future Danish king to England they become caught in a strange scheme far beyond their own making. Comic moments unfold into surreal antics as they come to face the very nature of reality.

Director Josh Sobel is working with an extraordinarily talented cast, including local cast members Douglas Bean of Des Plaines, Aurora Real De Asua of Evanston, and George Manisco of Deerfield.
