The Inconvenience would like to bid a fond farewell to Emily Reusswig who, until the new year, served as Executive Director. Emily will be taking on a full-time position as Development Director for Redmoon.

Emily has been with us since the very beginning and will continue on with the company as part of our Board of Directors.

"Being part of The Inconvenience has been one of the most exciting, crazy, wonderful, and educational experiences I've had in Chicago." says Reusswig "I'm excited for my new position at Redmoon and glad that I can still stay connected with my roots at The Inconvenience. Onward and upwards!"

Company member Missi Davis will now serve as the Executive Producer/Director, fulfilling her previous duties as Producer, as well as those of Executive Director.

In a statement, Ms. Davis would like to say that [she is] "...very proud of Emily and excited for her new adventures. Emily has been a constant guiding light and while we are sad to see her move on, we are prepared to move forward ourselves. This year is a turning point for us, and as the Executive Producer/Director I am committed to working together with our strong ensemble of artists to bring us to the next level as an organization."

ABOUT THE INCONVENIENCE: The Inconvenience is a community of interdisciplinary artists who seek to create a new way of experiencing art through a collaboration of music, theatre, dance, fine art and celebration.

We create, produce and curate works that challenge audience and artist perspective and ignite social dialogue.

The Inconvenience began in 2008 with eight friends in a loft and has now grown to fifteen members producing and creating events around Chicagoland. A multidisciplinary company that seeks to cross-pollinate the arts in innovative and exciting ways, our structure functions in four departments that are deeply collaborative: Dance, Art, Music and Theater.

The Inconvenience produces works that challenge perspective and ignite social dialogue by creating and curating, and we are proud of our commitment to collaboration. In our 4 year existence we have produced over 30 events, collaborated with over 500 artists, and presented to an annual audience of over 20,000 people.
